I warned that I would occasionally subject you to My Own Boring Shit. Here’s Doctor Who from last Friday. The last 20-odd minutes of captioning were completely borked.
Incidentally, the words “Here it is” are blinking. We don’t see the blink mode very often. (Thankfully.) A later caption block was just as garbled but also included nice bright yellow. Most of this time there just weren’t any captions.
Nobody reviews shows before telecast anymore? I suppose that, with a four-person captioning department (plus one coördinator), all you’d do is see right through each other’s mistakes.
